Darlene Gudrie Butts graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1985. Her B.A. was in Psychology with a Business minor. She has enjoyed a successful, 23 year career in the financial field as both an independent advisor and a financial planner for RBC, one of Canada's largest and most respected financial institutions. This has given her the opportunity to deal with thousands of people to help them get back on track. She wove this experience into "Lessons from the Depression, Eliminating Debt the Old-fashioned Way." It is a parable of a family in financial difficulty who get their finances and lives back on track following simple strategies learned during the Great Depression. This is her first book and was published in April 2009.
Darlene currently lives in Kingsville, Ontario, with her husband and three children.
Darlene can answer questions on debt, dealing with credit card companies, budgeting/cutting costs, investing, and making money doing what you love.
